All payments are executed through the Spacebase platform and are processed by our third-party payment provider.
The paying options on Spacebase are:
- Credit card
To book a space, guests can send a direct booking request to the host through our platform, which places an authorization hold on their credit card for 2 business days in order to ensure the funds are available. Direct booking requests expire after 2 business days, at which point the hold is automatically released.
Guests are charged in full as soon as the direct booking request is accepted by the host or the guest books a room that was in the first place reserved for free.
If guests choose "paying by invoice" as their paying option, the amount has to be paid at the latest on the day of the event.
Host payouts will be deposited into the bank account they have on file with us and are processed as soon as we receive the money from the guest. If a guest stays in the space beyond the hours they have reserved, the host must let the Spacebase team know about the overtime within 3 days of the event for it to be included in the payout.
